Jasmine Burke is an award winning American Filmmaker & Actor. Jasmine studied at Kennesaw State University on full scholarship and won her first achievement in filmmaking at the 2010 Women in Film & Television Film Festival for a short she wrote, executive produced, directed and stared in entitled “Lucky Lotto”. She continues writing to this day with aspirations to produce content that shifts the culture forward.
Jasmine’s ambitious nature has defined her since she was a child. Starting her first business at the age of 11 when entrusted with a quarter candy machine given to her by her step-father. Instead of using the key to eat candy at her leisure, she instead negotiated a deal with a local nail shop owner to house the machine in the shop. Paying a monthly commission to the owner and pocketing the profit. The joy of taking a little pressure off of her hard working Mom by being able to treat herself to a new out fit, pair of shoes or school supplies here and there was thrilling to her. The same thrill of being a thinker and creating a way for herself still propels her to this day.
So when Jasmine decided to step out on faith, leaving her theatre training ground roots to pursue a career in Film and Television she did so again on her own. With out an agent, manager, nor any industry relationships she found her way into Rueben Cannon’s office. Her first major television audition ever that turned into a Guest Star role on Tyler Perry’s first TV series “Meet The Browns”. Since, with a bountiful IMDB resume full of stand out roles in box office #1’s and television mega hits, her career has shown no signs of slowing down. Jasmine’s career has been boiling hot under the surface for years. Choosing to let her work speak for her and not her personal life on social media. She’s choosen a road less traveled in todays’ microwave society. She’s a true throw back to the golden days when talent was king.
But with #blacktwitter hailing Jasmine the break out star of Bounce TV’s first original drama Saints & Sinners her career is finally boiling over. Saints and Sinners aired to record breaking ratings and stellar reviews. In addition, being hand picked by Lee Daniels to be apart of his new project for Fox, Ms.Burke is certainly on the rise. But Jasmine isn’t stopping there. Her long time supporters have been patiently waiting for music from her since she was a finalist and fan favorite on MTV’s Making The Band 3 (Danity Kane). The wait is over as Jasmine gives her singer/song writer gifts to fans with the release of her inspirational single “Hear What I Hear” on the heals of her exciting television series.
With her busy schedule Jasmine continues to develop and write projects while still making quality time to inspire young girls with Girls, Inc. and her workshop series “Work Your Tape”.

She’s making her mark in a lasting way and never wants to stop climbing. “When you reach the top that’s it. I always want to keep exploring, learning and getting better.
