The Story Behind The Mission
From a young age, I was entrusted to speak life into the hearts of the youth.
Being picked to be a D.A.R.E. Ambassador in middle school at the age of 11, I traveled to elementary schools speaking positivity into young people.
Coming from government housing projects, surrounded by broken homes, drug addiction, prostitution… I was asked to share my story about how I was managing to escape these traps.
Sharing what kept me motivated to think beyond my environment.
It empowered me.
But most importantly, I saw how access to a figure of inspiration can have a profound impact in shifting one’s mentality and catalyzing life-long change.
I strive to continue to be that access today, that voice that will inspire a young person who was like me, living in an impoverished environment, to believe in themselves beyond what they see every day and find the courage to pursue their callings in life.
A Quick Round of Facts!
I reside in Atlanta (Go Falcons!) and operate my own production studio called Jasmine Burke Productions.
I studied on a full scholarship at Kennesaw State University, pursued Film at Harvard, and earned an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism at Global International Alliance.
I was awarded Best Director for a film I wrote and directed at the 2010 Women in Film and Television Festival for my movie Lucky Lotto.
I won the “People To Watch in the Entertainment Industry” at the Georgia Entertainment Gala, as well as “Top 25 Women to Watch” in Rolling Out Magazine.
When I’m not in front of the camera or speaking on stage, I am deeply involved in mentoring women and young girls, helping them achieve their artistic aspirations.

Throughout every stage of Jasmine's acting career, auditioning has been a crucial part of the process. In "Work Your Audition," Jasmine shares her personal successes, lessons, and experiences when auditioning for some of her biggest roles, such as VH1's "Drumline: A New Beat," MTV's "Making The Band 3," and The CW's "Vampire Diaries." She also provides motivation to help artists navigate the audition process like a pro.
